should be aware that Australian Customs are implementing a new cargo
reporting system affectionately known as “CMR” and it will
be introduced in the early part of the new year.
The
introduction of this system has major implications for all exporters
especially cargo moving to Norfolk Island as it seems that a lot of
cargo is not being reported correctly.
Norfolk
Forwarding Services has 2 fully Licensed Customs Brokers and will ensure
that all statutory customs requirements are complied with. Non compliance
could result in the cargo being off loaded and financial penalties.
GST
exemptions are only given where a correct ECN is lodged prior to export.
